National Senator Francisco Paoltroni, from the Freedom, Work, and Progress block, expressed his "great indignation" after the 'Clean Record' bill was rejected in the Senate, directly attributing the failure to the national Government. According to the senator, the government strategy is based on polarizing against former president Cristina Kirchner, underestimating the power of figures like Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and Gildo Insfrán, presidents of the PJ, and questioning the decision to let the law fail in that context.
"We ran the entire campaign and came to power preaching that a different Argentina was impossible with the same old faces, and that we were coming against the elite, and I did not lower these flags nor will I lower them," emphasized Paoltroni while reaffirming his commitment to his campaign promises. He also referred to the vote change of the two senators from Misiones, surprised by the situation since all Senators had publicly assured that they would support the law.
The senator, who has distanced himself from La Libertad Avanza (LLA), accused the central administration of underestimating the power of Kirchnerism and used a striking metaphor to describe his perspective on the government strategy. In his statements to Radio Rivadavia, Paoltroni mentioned: "They think that grandma has no more teeth and she will chew them one by one."
Paoltroni identified Santiago Caputo as the main operator of the government's political strategy, acting with the President's authorization. He compared the political dynamics of Misiones with that of his province, Formosa, highlighting that both Misiones and Formosa are managed from the shadows by figures like former governor Rovira and Gildo Insfrán respectively, which, according to him, justifies the sudden changes in votes.
The Formosa legislator reiterated his fight for the intervention of the province of Formosa, alleging a lack of respect for the republican form of government, and concluded by expressing that, despite feeling battered, he assumes the responsibility and commitment to move forward.
